Does the Hopkins Break Away Kit have to Be Mounted a Certain Way on a Trailer
Question:
Can this be mounted to a horizontal surface so the battery is laying down?

There is no specific orientation that the Hopkins break away kit # 20099 has to be mounted. Ideally you want easy access to the inside where the battery is and the tester. If you open up the lid you will see how the wires attach to the battery. You will want to place it on the trailer in such a way as to not have the battery weight resting on the terminals. I have linked a video showing installation for you.
