Will Curt Echo In-Line Wireless Controller Blue Light Turn Off

Question:

I recently installed a curt echo C79DR in my 22 gmc sierra 1500. I noticed that when the truck is off a trailer disconnected there is a blue flashing indicator light on the control box. Will this light always flash or does it turn off eventually. Im concerned about a my battery draining if it sits for several days.
