Roof Rack and Assisted Kayak Carrier Recommendation for Truck with Camper Shell

Question:

Trying to figure out how to easily lift two kayaks to the top of my Toyota Tundra with camper shell. We have not installed anything yet. Will have rails professionally installed. Was hoping to use Thule Hullavator or Yakima ShowDowns 2nd choice. Our boats are a eddyline Sandpiper 130 49 lbs and a Wilderness Systems Pungo 125 53 lbs.. I am 52inch and over 60 yrs old female. Need something to get the boats on top of the camper shell on the truck. If we cannot do this, what is your suggestion. I called today but the young lady was not helpful. She said she would email a list of things that will work for my 2018 Tundra w/ shell. I didnt get an email not in trash/junk either. Hopefully you can get this to someone with answers for me. Youve always been a great help in the past. Thank you!

The kayak carrier that will make loading and unloading your kayaks the easiest is the Thule Hullavator part # TH898. This will require a roof rack installed that has crossbars that extend past the feet of the rack by 4 inches. This is normally not an issue as that's a pretty standard dimension.

I am not sure if you have a roof rack picked out already but the Rhino Rack aero bar rack part # Y02-490B would be a great option with 59 inch bars that are compatible with the Hullavator.
