Do I Need To Pull Fuses When Flat Towing A 2013 Honda CR-V
Question:
I read on the answer for CR-V towing to remove fuse #19 7.5amp for long tow periods. Do we go through the tow procedure first? Then remove the fuse?? Please advise. We use a Invisibrake in the car. The battery in our CR-V is weakened after 3 hours of towing. the battery is 1.5 years old… We have to Halo jump the car when we disconnect.

Yes you will need to pull the #19 fuse when flat towing your 2013 Honda CR-V. For this purpose we do recommend using the fuse bypass # RM76511, so you do not have to go messing with the fuse box every time you want to tow. There is not a specific order of operation for disconnecting the fuse. I would disconnect the fuse, then put the vehicle in tow mode. As long as the fuse is disconnected before towing it is all means to the same end.
I also recommend reading over the flat tow section of your owners manual. It will list specifics on what fuse to pull, along with any other important info for flat towing
