Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Installed on 2004 Tundra Shows Intermittent Power
Question:
i hard wired my prodigy p2 on my 2004 toyota tundra and after pluging it the wires to the back of the module only one of the the 2 blue dots lit up and it had the n.c. on the the display. checked my ground and tested the red the black and the blue wire coming out of the mudule. red wire has power when i hit the brakes and the black wire has constant power running through it but the blue wire for some reason has an issue. when i connect my circuit tester the light blips on every 5 or so seconds without me touching anything. any ideas?

From what you describe, it sounds like your P2 is working correctly. You would only see the two LED dots or decimal points if the Boost feature of the brake controller is engaged. NC means no connection, which is what the display will show unless a trailer is plugged in. The blips you describe are the test voltage the controller sends along the output circuit that check to see if a trailer is plugged in. If you used a volt meter on that blue wire, you would find that the voltage sent on the circuit during those blips is pretty minimal.
I have linked you to a copy of the owners manual for the P2.
