Tow Ready 7-Way Mounting Bracket is Not Compatible with 7-Way Trailer Wiring Harness 118267

Question:

I purchased and installed all of the towing electrical needed from etrailer and was installing the mounting bracket that I bought from etrailer and it is just too small to fit the 7pin connector that came with this wiring kit. The mount that I purchased is the Tow Ready 7-way connector mounting bracket for standard connectors and it is just too small to even try drilling out new holes in it. Do I need another smaller connector or is there a mounting bracket that will fit this connector? If I did try and drill this bracket, the holes would run off the edge of it, so thats not an option.

You are correct, we found out some time ago that the Tow Ready 7-Way bracket, # 18138, is not compatible with certain 7-Ways. That is why we started linking the Pollak bracket, # PK12711U, under related products on the product page for # 118267. The slotted holes (compared to the round ones on 18138) are compatible with more 7-Ways.
