How To Fill Holes In an RV For Screws Which No Longer Fit Inside Enlarged Mounting Holes

Question:

Do you know of anybody who might know about how to fill holes in an rv. The holes held a cargo door holder and now the holes are larger so the original screws dont hold. Thanks

To fill a hole on an RV will vary depending on how the RV is constructed. Fiberglass sided campers with laminate walls are the most common found on RV's. These walls will have a steel plate mounted inside the wall to provide mounting points for items like a cargo door holder. If you are unable to use a larger diameter mounting screw you will need to fill the holes with Silicone # 0160297 and move the door holder.

If you have a camper with aluminum siding it will typically have wood studs in the walls. This will most likely have wood blocking which you can use either a type of filler or anchor with this type of wall.
