Determining Torque for Trailer Suspension Components
Question:
Hello, Just installed the dexter EZ 6000 lb kit on my trailer. I had a question about tightening the bolts. You need to tighten them so the splines sink into the bracket, used a impact till head barely touched bracket, any concern with over tightening. I checked torque and they were already there? The shackle seam to move freely, not so sure about the front and rear shackles for the springs. I guess just concerned..... Thank you for your response

You're good. You want them tight enough that they won't back off but not so tight that the suspension isn't allowed to move like where you are right now.
