Troubleshooting a Hydraulic Pump System on a 2016 Winnebago Scorpion That Clicks and Resets Itself

Question:

When raising the Jack or putting the main slides in the hydraulic pump stops and I hear a click like a relay or something being tripped then in a couple seconds it resets itself and I can continue. What could be causing this? 2016 Winnebago scorpion 3480

I do not know for sure what hydraulic system you have on your 2016 Winnebago Scorpion, but more than likely it is a system made by Lippert.

We have had this issue come up before and reached out to the manufacturer about this. They that they send the unit to the manufacturer with a 50 amp auto-reset circuit breaker (the click you are hearing is likely the breaker tripping and resetting). The manufacturer installs the wiring, etc. It is possible the gauge of wire may not be large enough for the system depending on the length of the run. It is also possible that that auto-reset breaker is wearing out. The breaker will wear down with use and trip more easily as time goes on. This is likely what is happening, so I would start with a new breaker # PK54250.

If this doesn't solve your issue, then you would want to start thinking about the wiring and checking that it is the appropriate gauge for the length that the wire is run.
