The decision for me would come down to how long you plan to keep your Maverick or if you have other cars you might flat tow. Both the Patriot and Stay-IN-Play Duo are going to do a great job, but they are different styles.
The Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # SM99251 is the choice to go with if you plan on keeping your Maverick for the long haul and don't plan to flat tow other vehicles. The reason is that you do not have to remove and install the Stay-IN-Play Duo each time you want to flat tow. After the initial install, the system will automatically function after you hook your Maverick up to the RV.
The Blue Ox Patriot Radio Frequency, Portable Braking System # BLU37TR is the right choice if you upgrade your vehicle every few years and plan to flat tow additional vehicles. That is because the Patriot is a portable unit that can be easily removed and installed each time. Making it easier to switch to a new car or alternant flat towed vehicle.
Either choice will need the Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-88400 which is required to prevent the towed vehicle's brake signal from overriding the turn signal from the RV when applying the brakes during a turn.
