What if Grease Zerk Breaks Off Curt RockerBall
Question:
Hello, I have the rockerball hitch and the first time I tried the grease it, I got good grease into it but when I tried to pull it off, the grease zert snapped! I have never had this happen before. I have a big trip coming up, is it fine to still use this hitch with an open grease zert? If not, what is the best way to get this replaced? Thank you

The ball must be greased when using the Curt RockerBall Shock Absorbing 2" Hitch Ball # C40047. As you can see by the cut out of the linked instructions, if you don't have adequate lubrication the ball can fail so it is imperative you do. The zerk itself isn't replaceable, you need to to replace the RockerBall. Thankfully it sounds like it is new so the ball is under 1-year warranty.
