Troubleshooting A Stereo and TV That Won't Display Video

Question:

My electricity went off and now the DVD player works, but it won’t show a picture on the TV. What do I need to do to fix it?

I would first start by disconnecting the tv from the wall outlet and while it's disconnected remove the Jensen RV Stereo w DVD Player # JWM60A from the wall/cabinet to get to the back of it. Once it's out you can remove the fuse located in the back of the unit and let it sit for 15 mins. While the fuse is out I recommend checking your connections and ensuring that all cables are fully inserted into the stereo and tv.

After the 15 mins is up you can reinsert the fuse and plug the tv back in and test them. If the video still isn't showing on the tv then I recommend testing the stereo with another tv to rule out that the tv is the issue. If the stereo works with a different tv then the issue is with the tv in the camper. If the stereo still doesn't work with either tv then the stereo or the cable you have connecting the two is bad. I would first test with a new cable and if it still doesn't work then we know the stereo has an internal issue and needs to be replaced.
