Can Transmission Fluid 130-160 Degrees and Be Safe

Question:

Your expert states thats 130-160° is great trans temps but transmission fluid is not doing its job properly until 175+ degrees. Where does his knowledge come from, so I know what to stay away from. Also states at those temps the transmission will last much longer, which is wrong again because it is not expanding for proper functionality..

It's all over the internet and from the transmission cooler manufacturers we carry like Derale. 175 to 200 is a typical average transmission fluid temperature but most transmissions will operate within a range of 130-220 degrees. Being on the cooler side does allow transmission to last longer as heat is the number one killer of transmissions.
