Yakima HangOut or Saris Bones for 2016 Honda Accord Sedan

Question:

I have a 2016 Honda Accord 4 dr and am trying to choose between this Yakima and the Saris Bones 2. I need hatch huggers for the Saris and it looks pretty sturdy, but the Yakima Hangout gets good reviews as well. I need the rack to drive on the highway for several hours and I have a converted mountain bike which has 2.25 in road tires and a hybrid bike. Is one rack a little roomier, more sturdy, better materials, etc. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

I would recommend going with the Yakima HangOut part # Y02637 for your 2016 Honda Accord sedan. I prefer the strap design of the Yakima as well as the wider contact pads that the rack has with the vehicle paint which helps distribute the weight of the bike and rack better on the rear of the vehicle. It also has adjustable frame cradles to allow the bikes to be spaced out at a better distance like you are wanting.
