E Code on Prodigy P2 Brake Controller
Question:
I have a Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 4 Axles - Proportional Item # 90885 installed on my 2019 Ram 1500 Classic. Three times in the past 6 weeks, 2 times this past weekend, the controller has shown an e error code. On 2 occassions the error message occured while the trailer was not connected to the truck. On one occassion the trailer was connected to the truck and had been connected for quite some time. I stopped for a pit stop after about 4 hours and turned off the vehicle. Upon restarting it showed the einch error code. In all cases after approximately 1 hour the flashing e disappeared and the screen went blank. Once I reapplied the brake by using the service brake pedal located inside the cab of the pickup the conroller started working properly. The controller is a little less than a year old. I purchased and had it installed by the trailer dealer when I purchased my trailer in September, 2022

Thank you for your purchase directly from etrailer of the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller # 90885. The error code you are getting means, per the manufacturer, "Brake Control is inoperative" and will need to be replaced. It does have a lifetime warranty though so it won't cost you anything.
