You will have no problem using the Thule T2 Pro XTR 2 Bike Platform-Style Bike Rack, # TH83BJ, on your 2008 Honda CR-V EXL as long as you have a trailer hitch. This bike rack will fit 2 inch trailer hitch receivers and offers plenty of bumper clearance.
You should also have no problem carrying your hybrid bike as long as it weighs less than 60 lbs and doesn't have fenders (which are typically found on larger cruiser style bikes). This bike has a maximum weight capacity of 60 lbs per bike and the wheel mount design makes it compatible with virtually any style of bike without fenders.
I've attached a review video of the T2 Pro XTR for you to check out.
If your CR-V does not have a trailer hitch, then I recommend picking up the Curt Class III Trailer Hitch, # 13555. We have installed this hitch on a 2008 Honda CR-V, so I attached the instructions and the installation video if you think you may want to do the installation at home.
