Will the Thule OutWay Trunk Mount Bike Rack Fit a 2013 Chevy Tahoe

I have a 2011 Hyundai Sonata and a 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe - I just purchased the Thule th56BV Outway 3 bike trunk mount will this also fit my Tahoe as it does other SUVs?

Thule does not list the OutWay # TH56BV as a fit for your 2013 Chevy Tahoe. But there is a 3-bike rack that will fit. It is the Hollywood Racks Over-The-Top rack, # HRF2-3. This rack has an extra arm piece at the top to move the straps up and over any trim pieces or spoilers that would interfere with the hitch.

Another option to carry 3 bikes on the Tahoe is to use a trailer hitch and hitch mount bike rack. Your Tahoe should have a factory trailer hitch so you would just need the bike rack. There are numerous 3-bike rack options but honestly it will be easier to load 3 bikes on a 4 bike rack.

The Hitching Post Pro, # TH934XTR, is a popular option. It includes anti-sway cradles, the arms can tilt down and the upright mast can tilt as well. I have included a link to a video review of the rack on a 2013 Tahoe for you.

If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical mens bike would) then I recommend using bike adapter bar # TH982XT. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level and will provide better ground clearance. I have to use these adapters and without them my wifes bike would be at a severe angle and I would not be able to load my sons bike at all.
