The B and W Companion Sliding Fifth Wheel Hitch, # BWRVK3500, will work on a 2014 Ram 2500 short bed as long you have a B and W Turnoverball gooseneck hitch installed on the truck.
If you do not have a gooseneck hitch installed in your truck, then you can install the B and W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch, # BWGNRK1384. This hitch will allow you to use the Companion fifth wheel hitch and it would also give you the ability to tow a gooseneck trailer if the situation were to arise.
