Can I Use The Curt Spectrum Dash Mount In My 2007 GMC 3500?
Question:
Hi! I am looking to purchase a new brake controller for my truck. The Curt Spectrum Trailer Brake Controller caught my attention. Can it be installed on a 2007 GMC 1 ton diesel? This truck hauls heavy loads of hay and grain, very heavy. Do you feel this controller would be suitable for this job? If no to either question above, do you have a recommendation for a brake controller that would work? Thank you

The Curt Spectrum # C51170 is definitely a good choice for your 2007 GMC 3500. This is a great proportional controller, and is more reliable than a lot of the wireless or Bluetooth compatible controllers that Curt makes.
It is also a good controller to use with larger trailers as it can control brakes on up to 4 axles if needed. It will have a much cleaner look in the cab with the LED control knob.
Your Truck should already have brake control wires run under the dash. You can use the pigtail # C51515 to easily wire in the controller.
I have included an install video linked below if you want to get a better idea of what is involved.
