Will Hopkins 7-Way Fit 7-Way of 2020 Toyota Tundra
Question:
Does a Toyota Tundra equipped with a factory 7 pin blade 6 blades and center round round socket accept a standard round Hopkins 7 blade 6 flat and center round or do I need to get a plug from Toyota that fits their truck. My Hopkins connections in relation to the plug Key slot are at 11:00 Running Lights-1:00 Aux 12+-5:00 Electric Brakes and 7:00 Ground oclock where the Toyotas seem to be slightly off in the receptacle in that Running lights are at 2:00 - Aux Power is at 4:00 - Electric Brakes are at 8:00 and Ground is at 10:00 oclock I havent tried to mate them as I dont want to cause a short or anything. I hope it may be as easy as just rotating my Hopkins plug and it goes right in to the Toyota Receptacle but if not, Im going to have to make a conversion cable to Adapt my friends Toyota to my trailer which has the standard RV configuration and uses Hopkins equipment on my GMC and trailer. A bonus question, If his truck came with a 7 pin connector which includes brakes, will it also have an electric brake Electric over Hydraulic controller? Can you help clear up the confusion :

All 7-way connectors out there are going to plug right into the 7-way of the 2020 Toyota Tundra that you mentioned. Thankfully there is only one design and all of the companies make their 7-ways to fit that exact design.
If you have a vehicle or trailer that is wired differently it would be just a matter of swapping the wiring like you mentioned. You can't rotate the 7-way and install it differently as the design does not allow for that.
