Troubleshooting Furrion Chill RV AC Unit that Keeps Freezing Up

Question:

I have a Furrion AC on my RV that keeps freezing up, I can not find the freeze sensor. Where else do I need to look or does the model in the picture not have one?

Your Furrion Chill Replacement RV Air Conditioner freezing only after a few hours of use is probably due to the freeze sensor not being installed correctly to the cooling fins. The freeze sensor detects when the unit starts to freeze and the censor tells the unit to switch it to the fan to keep the lines from freezing.

Remove the inner shroud/plenum on the ceiling and look for a small rod with a wire in the end. Sometimes there will be a small blue plastic holder, which gets pushed onto the fins and the rod slides into it. If you did install sensor make sure it has not fallen out.

Unfortunately, the freeze sensor is not available as part by itself. You would need to replace your controller that includes the freeze sensor if yours is in place and therefore broken.

If you have the single zone controller, you want the Replacement Single Zone Controller for Furrion Chill RV Air Conditioner # FR86NR.

If you have the multi zone controller, you want the Replacement Multi Zone Controller for Furrion Chill RV Air Conditioner # FACC12ZA-BL.
