Could Jumper Cable from Vehicle Battery to Camper Put Charge on Battery

Question:

Greetings, I was reading about that Redarc In-Vehicle Battery Charger - Single Input, # RED96FR at 12 amps. Or, the dual input, 25 amp version, # 331-BCDC1225D that also works as a solar charge controller. I have a 2019 jeep grand Cherokee with factory installed seven pin plug. I have a 19 foot airstream with solar. Before I get ready to buy that redarc, I had a question that might simplify things. Couldn’t I just put a jumper cable from my battery to the airstream battery with the car running? I know that may take a couple hours but wouldn’t that work as well? This obviously wouldn’t work while driving, but I usually need power at a campsite on day 2 or 3 and not when I am driving. Thank you,

Yes, if you wanted to charge your camper battery with your Jeep Grand Cherokee a jumper cable from the vehicle battery to the trailer battery would charge it. We have jumper cables like the part # HMBC0825.
