How to Determine What Size Brake Assemblies You Have
Question:
How do you tell if you have 10 x 1.5 electric trailer brakes or 10 x 2.25 electric trailer brakes
asked by: Bob
Helpful Expert Reply:
The easiest way to determine exactly what brake assembly you have is to take the hub and drub off of your axle an measure the diameter of the inside of the drum and then measure the depth. This will tell you what size brake assemblies you need. I attached a picture that shows these two dimensions.
Between the two sizes you listed I would imagine that you have the 10 inch by 2-1/4 size since we do not carry any 10 inch by 1-1/2 inch assemblies.
