Recommended Valve Extender Options For A Class A Motorhome

Question:

Earlier question: Hello, I have TPMS 507 cap sensors on my class A RV. I’m not completely comfortable with the extenders that the tire store has on my tire. Just seeing what you guys recommend

Thanks for the pictures, I can see why you're concerned now. It looks like you have some 135 degree valve extenders that just aren't quite long enough to pass through the hand holes of the wheel cover. You could try using a longer 180 degree extender like part # WM8029180 to extend out pass the hole, but without physically testing it I can't say for sure that 180 degrees wouldn't end up rubbing against the edge of the hand hole.

The other option would be to use a hand hole mounted extender kit like part # WM8009. This would come with a hose to connect to the valve stem and route over to the handhole and clip into place so that you can easily access the sensor. The front sensor looks like they used a 135 degree extender and then attached on a 45 degree one like # WM8029, which is another option you could try with the rear sensors but I'm not a big fan of using multiple extenders since you'll have more connections that could fail.

This is honestly just going to take a bit of testing to really find the best option.
