Should the Blue Ox KarGuard be Used on a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox?
Question:
I Bought the BX8870 shield from etrailer a few weeks ago to use on my 2018 Chevy Equinox. I have used shield for 12 years on my Saturn Vue so I just assumed it would work on my 2018 Chevy Equinox. After I bought it I read in the manual that you shouldnt use because of air flow. It is attached about 12 inches from front of car. Will this be OK or do you have a work-around like drilling holes in it? Thanks

I have not heard of such an issue to be completely honest and I can't see why airflow would be affected. The Blue Ox KarGard Towed Vehicle Protector # BX8870 is a universal part that will work with most Blue Ox tow bars so really that is the only specific thing you'd need to abide by.
The 12" I'm assuming you're referring to has to do more so with the motorhome side and it hitting your ladder or bumper, since it's closest to the toad you'll be fine.
