Will the Yakima FullBack 2 Fit a 2022 Ford Escape W/ Automatic Liftgate?
Question:
I have a 2022 Ford Escape with an automatic liftgate. Can the Yakima FullBack Trunk Hatch Bicycle Rack be used without damaging the automatic liftgate system? I understand that you should not lift the gate with the rack on. But in order to put the clips on securely top and bottom do you need to open the gate slightly to get them in? And do the instructions include setup for a newer car…2022?

The Yakima FullBack 2 Bike Rack # Y02634 is confirmed to work with your 2022 Ford Escape and will not damage your automatic lift gate.
Yes you do need to lift the rear door to install this rack but there won't be any damage done to your system. The instructions are also going to include everything you need to install it correctly.
