Will The Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch # DL10770 Replace a Shelby 5377?
Question:
I’m looking for a new winch to replace the Shelby Model 5377 that is currently on my PLC boat lift, it has a plastic shroud that covers the winch mechanism that I don’t think will cover the DL10770. Do you think this winch would work and do you offer a plastic or aluminum shroud that is designed to cover the model DL10770 winch mechanism?

While I cannot confirm if you will be able to use the same shroud I do have some measurements of the Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch # DL10770 which you can use to check. This winch has an overall width of 7-41/64", length of 8-21/32" and is 6-41/64" tall. I was unable to find any information on your Shelby 5377 to verify its dimensions or weight capacity.
The winch itself has a Zinc TUFFPLATE finish and powder coated drum to be able to withstand being exposed to the elements. Dutton-Lainson does not offer a cover for this winch nor do I see anything we carry will work. So if your existing cover will not work you may need to fabricate your own cover if you wish to not have it exposed to the elements.
