Removing Rust from Metal Trailer Fenders For Paint Prep

I did not paint when install now as little surface rust whats best way to prep to paint stop the rust

The trailer fender part # HP36VR that you referenced is raw steel so it's going to rust if it's exposed to moisture. When you go to paint yours I would take some steel wool to the rusty areas to get it all off and then prime and paint it whatever color you like and you'll be good! You might even see if you can find a spray paint that has a primer in it already to eliminate that step. Most paints are good to use on metal surfaces too so it shouldn't be super hard to find what you would need.
