Will The BAKFlip F1 Hard Tonneau Cover Clear A Fifth Wheel Hitch When Folded Up To The First Panel
Question:
2019 Chevrolet 2500 short bed with a BandW 5th wheel hitch. Will I be able to leave the last panel down when towing, or will all panels need to be up and against the back of the cab while towing?

Helpful Expert Reply:
With the BAKFlip F1 Hard Tonneau Cover # BAK72121 being a 4-panel cover the first panel would be well before the rear axel and would give you enough clearance from the 5th wheel hitch. I reached out to BAK and was told the front panel that sits on the bulkhead is approximately 9" and the first panel after it is 18".
Having looked at similar questions for this style and length cover I've seen answers that list the first panel as 18", 20", or 22" so I recommend going with the 22" measurement just to be safe when you measure your bed. If you don't already have the hitch in place then you can just go to the center of the wheel well, which would be where the jaws would sit when installed.
