How to Wire Up the Third Brake Light of a Truck Canopy on a 2009 Chevy Silverado 1500

2009 chev siverado 1500 the canopy has two wires for brake light and dome light. can you tell me how to go about wireing it. cheers

For wiring the third brake light of your canopy you will want to locate the orange wire in the bundle of wires near your brake pedal that should be labeled CHMSL.

For powering the dome light you will want to use a 12 volt power source, you could use the red/black wire in the bundle you found previously as this circuit is a 12 volt power source.
