Optimal Crossbar Spread For Yakima SkyBox NX 16 part # Y95AV
Question:
I just got Yakima corebars and the NX 16 box. It says the box can be mounted on 24-36 inches on the bars. Is there any advantage to lower or higher distance?

Using a wider spread would give you a slightly more solid attachment with cargo boxes like the Yakima SkyBox NX 16 part # Y95AV. It's totally safe to use the 24 inch spread as it was tested for that and it worked fine but if you can get it out to 36 inches it would be a little more secure and might help calm some nerves if you're worried about it.
