The best weight distribution system for a 2,900 lbs trailer is going to be the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control item # EQ37040ET. This system has built in sway control to keep your trailer in line with your van when you make sudden moves or get passed by a semi on the highway. It works with trailers that have a tongue weight up to 400 lbs.
The Equal-i-zer item # EQ37040ET includes a 2" shank that you will most likely need to invert and mount in the rise position. It also includes a 2" hitch ball.
I have linked a review video below so you can see this system being demonstrated.
