How to Install a B&W Sliding Hitch in a 2019 GMC Sierra 2500 w/out the Factory Tow Package

I have a 2019 gmc sierra denali 2500hd 6.5 bed without the puck or in bed wiring system. I already have a BandW bwrvb3270 18k Patriot slider 5th wheel hitch. I want to have full access to the bed and an under-bed gooseneck hitch. Is there a gooseneck or puck system available for use with this BandW Patriot 5th wheel hitch that lets me remove the hitch when not in use WITHOUT having the above-bed permanently mounted rails?

I have a couple of options for you. One will give you an under-bed gooseneck hitch the other will give you the ability to mount your B&W Patriot Slider item # BWRVK3270. There isn't an option to do both because the 5th wheel rail adapters that attach to the under bed system, like item # 16310, do not work with the Patriot slider. They sit too high in the center and the slider won't be able to move.

To add an underbed system to your 2019 GMC Sierra 2500, I recommend the B&W Turnoverball System item # BWGNRK1016. This system will provide you with a square gooseneck receiver that has a 30,000 lbs capacity. With the B&W Turnover Ball, you will need to upgrade your Slider Patriot to the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider item # BWRVK3400-5W. This mounts inside the square gooseneck receiver and gives you a sliding hitch with a 20,000 lbs capacity.

You are going to have to break down and add a set of 5th wheel rails to the bed of your truck if you want to continue using the B&W Patriot Slider item # BWRVK3270. Industry standard rails, like the B&W Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails item # BWRVK2506, are the only way to attach the hitch to your 2023 Sierra. This is a custom fit kit that mounts inside preexisting holes in your trucks frame.

To make towing with a 5th wheel easier I recommend adding the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness item # C56070. This harness puts a 7-way connector in the bed of your truck and allows you to keep the one on your bumper. This makes hooking up to your 5th wheel trailer easier and more convenient.
