Will Rhino Rack Nautic Kayak Carrier Allow Fastrack Kayak to Slide Onto It

Question:

I will be putting this rack on 1” stainless steel round bars on the cabin top of a boat, so vehicle type is irrelevant. My kayak is made of 1000 reinforced Denier PVC. Will the kayak slide over the felt pads on this rack? I have tried putting the kayak directly on the stainless bars and it generally sticks to them, preventing it from sliding over the bars and making loading and unloading very difficult and dangerous from the boat. I need a rack that will allow the boat to slide over it so it can properly be positioned and secured. Will this rack work satisfactorily? If not, can you recommend one? I need the kayak to sit horizontally and cannot use a J style rack. The kayak is a Fasttrack 385ft

The felt and rubber pads of the Rhino Rack Nautic Roof Kayak Roof Rack # RR571 will allow your Fasattrack 385FT kayak to slide. The pads are not made of a material that the denier PVC would stick on.
