Is There a Replacement Assembly For Curt 58170 To Change To a Blade Style 7-Way Inside Truck Bed?
Question:
I want to purchase the CURT 58170 because the design works best with my application along with the short end behind the socket so it can fit in tight space. My issue is I can only find this socket with round pin, I need flat pin that I can install in my pickup for regular RV style 7 way plug. I also want this specific design for the stout material used. I’ve tried looking but couldn’t find one, I guess my question is I know the pin assembly is removable, where can I find a flat pin female assembly so I can still use the metal housing but with a flat pin 7-way connection?

For a 7-way blade connector mounted inside a pickup bed generally a connector like the Hopkins Endurance # 41157 is used as it has a 90 degree connector on the back for the wiring which goes into the bed connector. We do have the Pollak # PK11720 which is similar to the Curt 58170 you are wanting. Unfortunately, there is not a removable internal for a 7-way blade to fit these as the diameter of the connectors themselves is different. Our only metal 7-way blade connector is the Pollak # PK12703 which is much deeper than the connector you are looking at.
