Kayak Carrier Recommendation for Rhino Rack Aero 2500 Bars on a 2011 Toyota Corolla

Hi, I have Aero 2500 series Rhino Rack crossbars on my Corolla 2011. Will this kayak carrier fit on it? Also, what is the loading capacity of this carrier? I have an 80lb, 15 footer Old Town Dirigo Tandem Plus Kayak. Thanks,

For a similar kayak carrier that is confirmed to fit your Rhino Rack Aero 2500 crossbars check out the Rhino-Rack Nautic Roof Kayak Carrier part # RR571.

Your cross bars are 3-1/2 inches wide whereas the Thule Top Deck Kayak Carrier # TH881 can only accommodate up to 3 inch wide crossbars so it would not work for you.

I spoke to my contact at Rhino Rack and he informed me that the # RR571 does not necessarily have a weight capacity. You would be limited to the capacity of the crossbars and roof capacity that is listed in the owners manual of your vehicle. Most likely the weight of your 80 lb kayak would not exceed the capacities, but you should still check.
