Troubleshooting Left Side Tail Light Not Working on Trailer With 2017 Infiniti QX60
Question:
I have a QX60 that I installed the T-One wiring kit Item # 118670. I used the Curt I26 tester and when the left turn signal is on the 2nd light in from the left blinks, when I use the right hand signal the far left light on the tester blinks. This seems to be in reverse of how it should work. However, on the trailer the right hand side lights work perfectly, right blinker, running lights and brake all work as they should. The left hand side lights do not come on at all? I replaced all the trailer wiring so that it is completely new. My guess is it has something to do on the vehicle side but Im not sure what it could be. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

The blinking on the # I26 is actually correct. It doesn't make sense that the right turn signal blinks on the left and the left blinks to the right of the right turn signal light (it even sounds confusing) but that is how it's designed. You can see this in our review video below.
Based on the fact that this is working correctly it could still be the trailer side. Take a circuit tester like the # PTW2993 and check to see if you have power right behind the trailer side connector. If you do, jump back to the wiring just before the light itself and test. It probably isn't the wiring you replaced, but it could be the light itself. It also could be a weak or bad ground connection.
If you find that it is actually on the vehicle side, I would double check the ground connection again. You could also unplug the connectors and plug them back in to make sure they are seated correctly on the # 118670.
