Weight Capacity of Dexter Trailer Hub part # 8-257-5UC3-EZ
Question:
I have a question about your wheel hub Dexter 8-257-5ucs. The technical rating for this hub 1100 pounds per tire. Your video review suggests that it is actually rated for 1750 pounds because Dexter doesnt limit it to 12 inch tires. Is the 1750 pound spec. accurate? I have a 4500 pound double axle trailer with 7 inch hubs, and would prefer a higher weight rating for the replacement hubs.

The Dexter trailer hub part # 8-257-5UC3-EZ that you referenced is intended for a 2,200 lb trailer axle and has a 1,100 lb capacity per hub/drum. I wasn't able to find where it was stated that it actually has a higher capacity than that.
