Will Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller Work on 1998 GMC K1500

Question:

i have a 98 k1500, and am looking to install a combo 4port and 7 port trailer connection. i just want to confirm that this part, etbc7, will fit my truck. also, i have a travel trailer with RV/marine battery. Id like to ensure that this set up will allow me to charge the battery while i drive. thanks

The Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller part # ETBC7 is universal so it will work on pretty much any vehicle, including your 1998 GMC K1500. It simply requires a 4-way flat connector to plug into but if you don't have this you can splice directly into the taillights. In regards to the on-board trailer battery, there's a duplex wire that comes in this kit and one of those wires gets run to the vehicle battery which will then charge the trailer battery.
