Troubleshooting Grease Only Going Through Grease Zerk and Not Into Wet Bolt On MORryde # MR76ZR

Question:

I installed the MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit # MR76ZR . Some did not get grease to the far side of the bolt. Two did not seem to take any. I could not pump grease in. On one of those, I checked that the zerk ball depressed. I took the zerk off, and did see grease. But I am sure non went any further. What now? Remove the bolt and check further? Thanks.

It sounds like you may have one of 2 things going on inside your wet bolts. I have seen some instances where some particles/dirt get inside the wet bolt and clog the weep hole the grease is allowed to pass through. You can remove the bolts not taking any grease and try using a compressor air tool to blow out any debris that may be stuck inside the bolt. Be sure to blow from the weep hole out once you remove the grease zerk from the end of the bolt. You can also use some brake cleaner or other solvent to try and release any of the debris.

The other issue occurs when the brass bushing presses down on the weep hole preventing grease from being inserted. This is often remedied by taking the weight off the suspension or turning the position of the bolt to where the weep hole faces a different position.
