Is There a Trailer Hub with L44649 Inner Bearing and LM11749 Outer Bearing

Question:

I have a Cox boat trailer that is in good condition. The inner bearing on the axle is L44649 and the outer bearing is LM11749. The bolt pattern is 4 on 4 1/2. I would really like to change the hubs to something more available. What are your thoughts?

I do have an option for you but unfortunately, this axle is no longer supported and we don't offer any hubs for it. Therefore, you can either replace the spindle or the axle altogether which is what I recommend as welding a new spindle on take extreme precision.

In order to choose the correct replacement axle for a trailer you'll first want to start with the weight capacity. The weight capacity can be found on the axle tag in the center of the beam. Then, you'll need to measure the hub face (center of hub face to center of hub face) and spring center (center of spring center to center of spring center). This will then give you the info needed to pick out the correct replacement axle for your trailer. I have also attached a video I did to help others with this same thing so be sure to give that a watch.

The Dexter Trailer Idler Axle part # 20545I-EZ-72-10 for example is a 2,200 lb axle which measures measures 72" long at the hub face and 58" at the spring center though these can be moved. I have attached a full list of all our other axles you can choose from once you have the info above.
