Can The Controller From A Dometic A&E Awning Be Used On A Solera RV Awning
Question:
I’m replacing a 19’ Dometic AandE awning and it has a control box wires to it. If I purchase this awning can I still use the control box? Really not sure the pros and cons of having the box so any info would help.

Your Dometic awning controller isn't going to be compatible with a Solera Awning and the Solera XL 12V Power RV Awning # LCV000334966-362243 is going to come with its own control switch that you would need to install. Most likely your mounting holes won't line up between the two models so you'll want to pick up some non-sag sealant # 344270341437-1 to fill in the old holes and prevent any leaks. You'll also want to use some butyl tape # AL28FJ on the back side of the new mounting brackets to prevent any leaks through your mounting screws.
