Upgrading from 13,500 to 15,000 Btu RV AC on a 2020 Keystone 30RLS Half Ton

Question:

I just bought a used 2020 Keystone 30RLS half ton fifth wheel. It comes with a second A/C over the front bedroom. It doesnt blow cold, although everything seems to be working. Im guessing that the refrigerant leaked out. I removed the inside cover, and took some photos of the sticker on the control box. The specific MFG# is B57915.711C0, and says its a 13.5K unit. Im thinking that the ACDOM135 is the specific replacement unit, however many user comments say I wish I have gone with the ACDOM150, meaning they wish that they upgraded to a 15K unit. Im asking for your opinion.

It really just depends on your setup, I recommend simply replacing the unit with one of the same size. This is because the manufacturer usually selects the best size based on the dimensions of the RV. That said, if you found the factory selected size to be lacking you can upgrade. However, you'll need to keep in mind the unit draws more power so you may need to check the existing wiring and circuits to be sure they are up for the task, the Advent Air Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Dometic Setup part # ACDOM135 is for 13,500 Btu and part # ACDOM150 is for 15,000 Btu.
