Will Roadmaster Comfort Ride Improve Trailer Suspension Ride Quality More than Timbren

Question:

Hi, I want to upgrade the stock suspension on my tandem axle cargo trailer. The stock equalizer is a TREQ310 33 wheel base - 2 3/8 axles Im carrying electronic equipment in the trailer and want as soft a ride as possible for this cargo without going to an air ride system. Im looking at the MR87R with MR46ZR also possibly adding something like RM2450 shocks or switching to the Timbren system TSR7000T04 My question is would the shocks improve the performance with a new equalizer or is that not necessary. And how much better performance would the Timbren system be? Is it worth the extra $500 and additional labor? Any info or product suggestions you can provide is appreciated. Thanks

Shocks make a huge difference in smoothing out the ride quality of a trailer. I would argue they will do a better job than anything else if the goal is to improve ride quality. Adding more suspension support like with a Timbren will reduce sag but without shocks like the # RM-2450 to slow the movement down of the suspension the ride quality would most likely end up harsher. The main reason trailer suspension is so much rougher than vehicle suspension is the lack of dampening which is why the Roadmaster Comfort Ride would make the biggest improvement.
