How To Wire Dometic RV Water Heater in Place of Atwood GC6AA-9E

Hi, im replacing my Atwood water heater GC6AA-9E with the DMC74FR Dometic water heater, and the wiring looks different. is it easy to figure out? Any tips?

Yes, unfortunately switching from an Atwood GC6AA-9E Water Heater to a Dometic RV Water Heater part # DMC74FR won't be a direct swap. That said, the wiring won't be too different so you should be able to transfer these over without much issue. Please note, you can't just swap wires color for color so you'll need to know the function of each wire and make sure you attach it to the correct function from the old unit to the new. I have attached for you two diagram to assist with this, the first of the new unit and the second of the old unit.
