Replacement 5 Lug Hubs/Drums and 12" Brakes for Mobile Home Axle

Question:

I need electric brake kits for a 1960s construction Tri-Axle trailer with 5-spoke utility wheels. The bearings on the spoke drum are the same as the Dexter 22021-style drum. The bolt pattern on the brake assembly is a 7.5inch bolt circle or 4-7/16inch from bolt hole to bolt hole. 5-Hole Is there an aftermarket brake assembly with this bolt pattern? The center hole from the old backing plate is a 4inch circle. Not sure if I can re-drill the mounting flange for the newer 3-7/8inch bolt circle mounting pattern. I will also need 4 drums for this brake retrofit. I can provide pictures as well.

It sounds like you're looking for the Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly part # 8-174-5UC3. In regards to the braking assemblies, I don't think we have anything that matches up with what you said you had, only option we could offer is a new brake flange like the Brake Mounting Flange for 3" Round Axle part # 4-44-1 which requires welding and then the Dexter Electric Trailer Brake Kit part # 23-180-181. The other option you have would be to get some new custom axles. Unfortunately, parts for these mobile home axles are very hard to come by as they are considered a one time use part.
