Bike Rack Recommendation for the Back of a 2014 Forest River Travel Trailer

Question:

I like this set up but concerned about space and weight on my trailer. I have a 2014 Forrest River EVO Stealth T2550 with steel bumper. It has a factory ladder and a spare tire rack that attaches via brackets around the bumper bar. How much weight can these bumpers carry? Would I have room to put the bike carrier on if I have ladder and spare tire or would I need a ladder carrier?

The weight capacity of the bumper should be included with the literature for the trailer. If not, contact Forest River because that might be something that they know even if not listed in the manual. The Swagman rack # S64663 weighs around 35 pounds or so and when loaded to its max capacity you are looking at a total of 115 pounds.

If the bumper is not strong enough or there is not enough space for the rack then I would go with a ladder mounted rack. We have # LA-102 which has a capacity of 25 pounds per bike.
