No Power to Trailer Brake Controller on 2011 Chevy Traverse
Question:
My Tekonsha brake controller has no lights showing after I plug in my 7 pin plug from the trailer. What should I check to see if my controller is bad?

In regards to the trailer brake controller in your 2011 Chevrolet Traverse, you should have power to the display each time you start the vehicle. The display should then change when a trailer is connected but not every brake controller is the same. That said, if you don't have any lights or display when you start the vehicle then the first thing you should do is check the engine bay fuse box for the "TRLR BRK" fuse. If you have lights when you start the vehicle but no display change when the trailer is connected, check the brake output wire that runs from the controller to the connector and then from the connector to the brakes.
If this does not fix you issue, you'll want to review the troubleshooting section of the owner's manual for your brake controller. If you can let me know which one you have, I'd be glad to see if we have this available for you.
