Recommended Trunk Mount Bike Rack Options for 2013 Toyota Camry

Could you please tell me if the Allen Sports Deluxe 2-Bike Trunk Mount Rack would fit my 2013 Camry would also appreciate your recommendations as to trunk mount rack bike racks for this car ..... Thanks!

We do not carry Allen racks like the one you mentioned. The Allen racks have a very attractive price point, but the old saying that says you get what you pay for certainly applies here. Since trunk mounted bike racks are not meant to be left on the vehicle permanently, you will want a rack that is simple to install and remove. Trunk mounted racks are held to the vehicle using straps, and are in direct contact with the finished surface of the vehicle. A rack that does not fit well can potentially damage the vehicle, and a rack that does not securely grip the bike can cause damage to the vehicle as well as the bikes.

The Thule OutWay, part # TH45JV is an excellent rack. It uses 2 rubber straps to securely attach to the vehicle, which makes installing and removing the rack almost obscenely easy. The rack comes with locks for both the rack and the bikes to deter theft. The rack is not cheap, but it is the one we recommend most often.

If you are looking for something that is less expensive, take a look at the Thule Passage, part # TH910XT. The rack uses 6 straps to attach to the vehicle, and will not be as quick and easy to install as the Raceway mentioned above, but the rack offers the Thule FitDial adjustment system that allows the rack to conform perfectly to the contour of the vehicle for a precise fit. The rack also provides high quality anti-sway cushioned cradles that will protect both your bikes and your vehicle from damage.

To carry women's bikes or bikes with sharply angled top tubes or step-through frames, using a frame adapter like part # TH982XT is recommended. The adapter spans the distance between the seat post and the handle bar gooseneck, and provides a level attachment point to the bike rack so the bike has greater ground clearance and is not carried at an angle.
