Parts Needed to Install Curt Echo Mobile on 2023 Kia Sorento with 4-Way

Question:

Hi, We have a 2023 Kia Sorento EX+ with the factory trailer package. We also have in hand the Curt Echo Wireless Brake ControllerItem # C51180. We would like to use the echo brake controler again, so should we just go with a 4 pin harness and add a wire up to the battery to power the 12v plug of the 7 pin connector? Thanks

Since your 2023 Kia Sorento has a factory 4-way what you would need to convert it to a 7-way and complete the wiring needed for the Curt Echo Mobile # C51180 all you'd need is the part # ETBC7L. This actually was designed specifically for installing the Echo on vehicles like yours that have a 4-way and it comes with just the wiring needed to activate the 12 volt power circuit which would be only circuit needed to use the Echo.
